So I now have a Second Life blog. I have no idea what took me so long as most of my life has been documented online since first meeting my husband in a MUD back in 1996. I’m still not sure what I’ll end up putting here, but I keep having these little thoughts that don’t seem to fit in any of the other places where I write. I’m strangely protective of my SL time and my avatar.

I’m Brandy Rasmuson in SL, and I talk a little more about that in the About page. I have a wide range of interests in my real life, and I find that I’m the same way in SL, so I often bounce between several different groups depending on my mood. My favorite part so far is simply exploration, so I like hearing about new places to visit and sharing them with others. I’m also quite fond of the SL national pastime of shopping, and I’m becoming fairly good at fitting items for my larger shape. Along with shopping and exploring, I’m finding that attending concerts in SL is quite a lot of fun as well, so I’ll probably talk about those here.

My quest to find a place that feels like home is another part of my current SL travels. I’ve rented a small beach house for the last month or so, but it’s never felt like me. I treat it like an over-sized closet more than a home, and I’d like to purchase a nice piece of land somewhere. Beaches and other tropical locales are very popular, but they don’t feel quite right to me.
