Several people have been talking recently about Second Life 365 Days where you upload a self portrait a day for 365 days. It’s something I’d been thinking about doing for a while, but I wanted to start it on a special day like my rezday or birthday or something similar, and those days kept going by without me ever starting the project. Then today I noticed on my profile that it’s my 1000th day in SL, so it felt like a good time to begin.
I’m kicking off my series with a nod to all those photos my mom had to take each year on the first day of school. I bought the dress from Tyranny Designs during 50L Friday a couple of weeks ago specifically because it reminded me of elementary school. The tights and shiny flats were the perfect companions to continue the look. Since I was already neck-deep in nostalgia, I decided to play with that a bit and use the attic prefab along with a few whimsical items that have a vintage feel to them.
I don’t think I’ll be blogging all of my photos for the 365 days project here, but I’ll probably share a few now and then. If you’re interested in the others, then I’ll be adding them to my SL 365 Days set on Flickr.
