My friend Kere recruited me as the companion to his Doctor when he picked up a Tardis recently. (If that sentence makes no sense to you, then you don’t watch Doctor Who, but you should!) I wasn’t sure what to wear but as I ransacked my inventory, I came up with an outfit that reminded me a bit of my RL days as a preschool teacher. The heeled boots wouldn’t have worked there, but the other pieces would have been great.

I’ve had this look in a draft post for a week or so now because the skin I was wearing hadn’t been released yet. Now I’m happy to report that the new Heart-Shaped Box skin line has been released at Exile. I’ve been wearing versions of these skins for weeks, so I’m happy for the chance to show them off a bit.

I’m not going to do a big skin review here, but I do encourage you to take a look at the free demos to see if they suit your individual style and shape. I just want to point out a few things about the skin. The first thing I noticed about the skin is how soft and feminine the shading feels overall. Keeping with that softness, you’ll notice that the enhanced cleavage option that I’m wearing on the left in the above picture is a subtle change from the regular cleavage on the right. Another feature I really enjoy in the Heart-Shaped Box skins is that each makeup pack actually contains 2 makeup styles. I’m wearing both versions of the Iris makeup in the natural skin tone above.

Kavar has created a wide range of makeups for all occasions as you can tell from just a quick glance at all 20 makeup styles in the natural tone here. That variety is probably my favorite feature of his skin line because I tend to focus on the face in any skin I wear, and he’s covered some of my old favorites like glamorous red lips and pale lips with smokey eyes in addition to creating some unique makeups with bold eyeliner styles and strong lip treatments.
