I have a bad news/good news situation. The bad news is that my main computer has more involved problems than we originally realized, and we made the decision to call it a loss. The good news is that we have the money at the moment to build a machine better than what I had before. Better. Stronger. Faster. (gratuitous Six Million Dollar Man reference) Of course, this means a longer period of reduced computer time for me while I continue sharing my husband’s gaming computer. I’m using our laptop for most things, so it’s not a huge issue, but the laptop doesn’t work for SL. I’ll just be around more during the day and pretty much not at all in the evenings for at least another week or so and probably longer as I try to decide exactly what parts I need for the dream machine.
You might think this would slow my SL shopping down, but that’s not the case. All these coats keep tempting me. I’m just not handy enough with the prims yet to make all of them work for me, but I keep buying them. One coat that I bought and did manage to fit well is this really great Drifter coat by EtchD. It comes in the brown leather and black leather, and you also have a choice of 4 different designs for the back – Neko, Gunslinger, Native, and Roses. I went with Roses in brown leather, but now that I know I can make it fit, I’ll probably go back for at least one more. A nice touch with these coats is that they come with the option of the sweater I’m wearing underneath the coat or just the coat to wear over other tops you already own, so you’re getting multiple looks for just 350 lindens. The prim cuffs that pull down over your hands just a little are fun too.

I tried to show off the back of the coat, but the details are a little washed out here, so check it out in person! In case anyone is interested, I’m wearing the Artist hair from Miriel, which is an amazing bargain for the entire collection and one of my favorites and the Septembre 1 skin in Buff from Tête à Pied, which has quickly become a favorite. My clothing includes Mischief jeans with Shiny Things knit socks and black Lollies also from Shiny Things.
